looking from Gate 3 towards Motorpools

looking from end of street back towards Gate 3

Both of these are the building I remember as housing a dentist office and redcross office I believe. adjacent to
gate 3

Remember this statue anyone? Its now located near the old NCO club,  which is a sidewalk cafe

That view made me drink quite a few of these that day

Anyone remember stepping out of Gate 2 to go downtown? taking a right and walking down to the end of the street and taking a left to head down to the Goldner Hecht? Remember what that view looks like?  I did and took a picture of it for those that can't see it for themselves..Be prepared, it brings back memories..

Different views towards the EM club , feels funny to be able to walk onto the  post without being stopped and
challenged.0

Remember the Ammo Dump out back ? on the corner south of the airfield and east of housing on the Ferris Map.
this view would be standing at the front gate waiting for the jeep to come with hot coffee after you've been walking
guard in the freezing cold for what seemed like all night long..That radio digging in your shoulders..Sweet
memories eh? <grin>

Looking from The commisary street (gate 3) towards the housing area and where BN Hq would be..all of that is gone.. My Barracks, Bco 1/35 armor, the mess hall, Motorpool, BNHQ, snackbar, all gone..very moving experience to see that...

Hartmann Strasse

Enjoy my Brothers...Oh one more view you will enjoy

The Wall in Nurnberg
Heres a picture I thought you guys would enjoy. A "cruit" decided to go thru this puddle at Knox and Sgt "Hernandez???"  had to try and get it unstuck for him. Someone else took the picture out on the driving range at Ft Knox around summer 1974, I got a copy of it. I heard the biggest battle was trying to get all the mud from the inside out, at the time I didn't understand what that meant until I had to drop and reinstall a few M60 driver's escape hatches in my day, then I knew...lol
